Cone crusher is used for intermediate stages of crushing (secondary crusher and third stage crusher) and for crushing high hardness minerals such as iron ore to relatively small dimensions.
The cone crusher is in fact a type of gyratory crusher where the angle of the cone core is increased to about 100 degrees and the curvature inside the body is changed in the cone crusher of the moving core as well as the inner surface of the fixed body by means of cover. The interchangeable wear resistant coatings are made of manganese steel.
